Help Choose the Cover for My Next Book

The first preliminary designs are now available for my next book: Parent's Handbook: NLP and Common Sense for Family Well-Being. Please download this pdf file (book cover - http://www.renewal.ca/Ellerton_CoverDesigns_09-11-13.pdf) to see all five designs. In the header for the pdf is a button that allows you to see one page (cover) at a time. Designs are by Fiona Raven (www.fionaraven.com). Fiona designed the cover for my first book - Live Your Dreams Let Reality Catch Up: NLP and Common Sense for Coaches, Managers and You.

I would appreciate your thoughts, at this blog or send me an e-mail at roger@renewal.ca.

Let me know which design you like. Are there features in one design that you would like to see incorporated in another design.

You may refer to the five different covers, simply as: Design 1, Design 2, etc.

My book will be available in January - February 2010.

Thank you for your assistance.

Roger

I like #1. The 2 covers with photos were my favorites, but #1 looked more diverse.

I liked #3. It looks very professional. #1 feels a bit like it's pressing in on me because of the angle of the photograph (and the woman is a bit manic-looking).

On the whole I prefer the photographs altho I also like 5 except all the cut outs appear to be adults??

I would go with #3 with the children sitting on top of Mom and Dad. I like #1, but liked #3 better.

Thank you for taking time to comment on the book covers.

On Wednesday of this week, I will be taking your input together with input received elsewhere and discussing it with my cover designer.

Thanks again.

Hi Roger - I like the third one best. The white space gives it a clean look and the family makes me smile. It feels really good to look at.
